1. Nobody Does It Better - Carly Simon
The theme song from 1977's The Spy Who Loved Me. One of the few theme songs not to be named after the film. Arguably Carly Simon's greatest hit.

2. GoldenEye - Tina Turner
Ignoring the old woman's legs, this was one of the classic diva songs from the James Bond series. Released in 1995 it was an instant hit for the woman best known for 'Simply The Best'.

3. A View To A Kill - Duran Duran
A View To A Kill is the only Bond theme to reach number 1 in the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The Eighties heart throbs also reached number 2 in the UK charts and number 6 in Australia. It is a great upbeat number to balance out the fright of seeing Grace Jones in the film!

4. Live And Let Die - Paul McCartney and Wings
Written by Paul and Linda McCartney, after he had been considered to write the theme song for Diamonds Are Forever. The song reached number 2 in the UK charts and number 9 in America. It was also covered by Guns n' Roses in 1991. It was the first time a pop song had been used as a Bond theme.

5. Diamonds Are Forever - Shirley Bassey
The second James Bond theme to be recorded by Shirley Bassey. Sang like only the Welsh diva can, sends shivers down your spine.

6. Licence To Kill - Gladys Knight
Originally Eric Clapton and Vic Flick were asked to write and perform the theme song but when this came to nothing soul sensation Galdys Knight stepped in. It was one of the longest Bond themes.

7. The Living Daylights - A-ha
Eighties he
art throbs A-ha recoreded the theme for the 1987 film. However, A-ha and composer John Barry did not work well together leading to two versions of the song.

8. Goldfinger - Shirley Bassey.
The first James Bond theme to be recorded by Shirley Bassey. Instantly recognisable voice and song. Conjures up images of the film - particularly Shirley Eaton covered in gold paint.
