Worst
Things To Ever Happen To Music
1.
Tribute
Albums
If someone did such an amazing job the first time, why pay
'tribute' to them by having a load of wannabe stars cover
their greatest hits.
2.
Kevin
Federline
OK, I admit it. I liked Britney - and then she got
together with K-Fed and lost the ability to do anything
resembling music. Still, now they've split up perhaps
there's hope of a post rehab come back.
3.
Disappearance
of Indie Record Shops
Slightly more expensive but personal service. It was
much more fun shopping for records from these shops. They
didn't all look the same and if you couldn't find a record
they'd know whether they had it and if so where to find it
not just 'the computer says it's here.'
4.
Charity
Records
It
may sound harsh but the vast majority of charity records are
crap covers. I know they're for a good cause but why
shouldn't they be good songs as well?
5.
Slash
Quitting Guns N' Roses
Everyone knows there was only one talented member of
Guns N' Roses and it wasn't Axl 'My ego is too big for the
room' Rose. Slash Rocks.
6.
The
Eurovision Song Contest
People
watch it for the music? Seriously? Apparently it's the best
music Europe has to offer. Amazingly fun to watch but
painful on the ears.
7.
Yoko
Ono
I
don't think I need to explain.
8.
Soundtracks
'Killing Me Softly', 'I Will Always Love You', 'The
Shoop Shoop Song', when will people learn. Just because a
song is from a film does not make it good.
9.No
Doubt 'Taking A Break'
This has caused two major problems; No Doubt
are no longer releasing cool music, Gwen Stefani is
releasing weird music sampling yodeling - why?
