Deaths in 2007
1. Yelena Romanova - January 28
Yelena was a Russian middle distance runner who was found dead in her apartment. The cause of her death is not yet known. She was only 42.
2. Anna Nicole Smith - February 8
Anna Nicole died aged 39 of an accidental drug overdose - allegedly.
3. John Inman - March 8
Famous for his part in 'Are You Being Served?'. He died aged 71 from liver disease.
4. Bernard Marszałek - April
A powerboat driver from Poland. Bernard died of an asthma attack at just 31 years of age.
5. Marquise Hill - May
The first New England Patriot to die whilst still playing for the team. Marquise Hill was 24 when he drowned after he and his friend fell off a jet ski. His friend survived and credits him with saving his life.
6. Antonio Puerta - August 25
Antonio Puerta collapsed during Sevilla FC's first La Liga match of the 2006/7 season and died in hospital 3 days later. He was aged 22. The cause of death was cardiac arrests due to arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy.
7. Colin McRae - September 15
Scottish Rally Driver Colin McRae was killed in a helicopter crash with a friend and their two sons. He was aged just 39.
8. Ryan Shay - November 3
This Marathon runner collapsed during the US Olympic marathon trials in New York City. The cause of death was a heart attack probably due to an enlarged heart condition. He was 28.
